Donations

Our donations program is part of the Northside Hospital Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.  All donations are tax-deductible.  Please make sure to tell us if your donation is in memory of a baby by giving us the name of the baby and parents.
H.E.A.R.T.strings Perinatal Bereavement & Palliative Care is honored to offer families a way to remember the life of their baby by donating to our program and supporting families around our community and beyond.  Your monetary donation can be designated to any or all of our three funds:
  • ​Atlanta Walk to Remember:  Funds are used to pay for event planning and expenses so that it remains free to the public to attend.
  • H.E.A.R.T.strings Legacy Fund: Monies are used for our overall program to purchase keepsake items, printed resources, provide training for staff and other needs.
  • Reagan Marie Teddy Bear Fund:  Funds are used to build and maintain supplies for this special keepsake program.
To donate ONLINE, click on the button below, and scroll down to the "Donation Information" section.  Click on the "Designation" tab to access and select one of the above funds.
To donate by MAIL, click here to download a donation form that can accompany your donation (please note: this form is not required, but is very helpful to us).  Please write the name of the fund you are designating in the "memo" line of your check or money order.

DONATING ITEMS
We gratefully accept donations to our program.  For wedding dress donations, please see the special note below. 
Check out our Amazon Wish List! Click the button below to easily access our wish list at Amazon to donate supplies to our program.  Items include books, keepsake making resources and other special remembrance pieces.

The following items are general items that we are in greatest need of:
  • Blankets in all sizes (hand knitted/crocheted, or soft, plush store-bought)
  • Camera cards
  • Hand and foot mold kits
  • Preemie baby clothing
  • White Memory/Keepsake Boxes (photo boxes found at craft stores)

WEDDING DRESS DONATIONS*
The donation of infant burial gowns made from wedding dresses has become a meaningful and popular way for people to give back. Our program and families have benefited from these donations for many years. We have found, because of the materials, that sometimes the gowns are hard for us to work with.  If you are thinking about donating your dress, please consider having it made into “blankets” or wraps, and small pillows. Blanket sizes from 12” square to 36” square. These will make beautiful keepsakes to share with our families.

*At this time we have a full inventory of gowns. Please consider donating gowns to another area hospital which  may have less resources than Northside. Thank you for your generosity, and for thinking of these families.
