Perinatal Bereavement & Palliative Care
NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL

The loss of a baby is one of the most difficult  and  painful  experiences   that could ever happen to a parent.  We
are  glad that you found us and hope   to offer you  comfort  as you  embark your journey towards healing.

Grieving the  death of  an unborn or newborn  baby  is often   a  very    misunderstood and lonely process.

Your life  and your future have   changed, both with  the conception of your child and with the loss.

No one else knows your baby like you do.  Sometimes  even the closest friends and  family members
can't  or  don't  fully understand the  profound  impact this tiny  being has had on you and your life.

We hope to offer guidance, comfort and community   on your journey toward healing.

The H. E. A. R. T. strings Perinatal Bereavement & Palliative Care program at Northside Hospital in Atlanta provides support to families experiencing the death of a baby and the loss of a pregnancy due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, premature delivery, neonatal death, and support following termination due to problems with the baby or the mother.
"During one of the most difficult points of our lives, H.E.A.R.T.strings provided us with tremendous solace and support. We cherish the many ways they helped us honor our son through the Keepsake Memory Box, engraved necklace of our son's footprint, the annual Walk to Remember, and support groups. Their sincere care and concern has continued weeks and months through our time of grief. We are forever blessed and grateful for their enduring heartfelt love."  - Andrew and Jenni J.
