The 12th Annual Atlanta Walk to Remember was held on Sunday, October 2 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. The event took place on the campus of the Northside Alpharetta Medical facility. We had a wonderful time celebrating and remembering with attendees at this special event!
What: An event to connect parents and families together to express grief and remember our babies, and to raise awareness. October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This event is free and open to the public.
Who: Parents, families, friends and health care professionals are encouraged to attend. Children are certainly invited as well!
Event details: Check-in begins at 2:00pm. The event will include interactive activities for attendees of all ages. The program will start at 2:30pm; we will hear stories from parents who have experienced a loss. We will honor our babies by reading their names. Metro Music Therapywill provide music. Following the program, you will be invited to participate in a 0.4 mile walk around the campus. There is a large grassy area marked off where family and friends can bring a blanket or chairs to relax and share with one another. A tent and chairs will be set up and you are welcome to utilize this covered seating area throughout the event. Event activities include:
